Sources relating to Chartism in the National Archives
Source Sheet No. 5
Source sheets provide a list of references on popular topics. These lists are not comprehensive but provide the basis for esearch among the records. Where the references are to whole series of records, you must consult the lists (catalogues) of those series to identify individual documents of interest. These are available online or in hard copy in the Research Enquiries Room. To search for any material not included here, you need to consult the online catalogue. Leaflets are available which describe a wide range of sources in TNA and so may prove valuable in your research.

It includes reports on the prisoners, returns of Chartist prisoners, petitions and memorials asking for pardons and material relating to the granting of pardons.
